How does the iCustodian® iTrack2500GPS GPS Tracker work?

iCustodian® iTrack2800GPS GPS Tracker requires a GSM SIM card with DATA & SMS TEXT Message to function. The device has a GPS module which connects to GPS satellite to pin-point its location. You can track your vehicle in two ways.

1. If you intend use our iCustodian® iTrack Server for ability to track and view live footage on mobile phone App and website, it will work by the device sending ''DATA packets'' at intervals to our server and when you log into your iCustodian® iTrack Mobile Phone App or iCustodian® iTrack website, you will see the exact GPS location of the device on a MAP on both our Mobile phone App and also on our website.

2. It can also work by SMS TEXT message alone. You simply send a request text message to the SIM card inserted in the device or Call the device and it replies by sending you an SMS TEXT message with the GPS coordinate of the exact location of the device and you can click on the link to locate it via google map. Just sent ''where#'' or ''url#''  text message to the SIM card number in the tracker and it will reply with the map coordinate of your vehicle location will be sent back to your mobile phone. You can click the link to open up the location in google map. See image below.

A: iCustodian® iTrack2800GPS GPS Tracker requires a GSM SIM card with DATA or SMS TEXT Message to function. There are two ways you can use the iCustodian® iTrack2800GPS GPS Tracker.

1. With using our iCustodian® iTrack Server. This way, we will create an iCustodian® iTrack Account for you. You will get an iCustodian® iTrack Mobile Phone App and an iCustodian® iTrack website link were you can log into your account to track your device for days, months and years back and you can view live location of your device at any given time on a map. We will offer you free 12 months free use of our GPS server hosting on our Server after which you will require a yearly subscription payment for the service if you want to continue with using our hosting service.
2. Without using our iCustodian® iTrack Server. You do not need an Account or a mobile APP or website login or even mobile DATA. All you will need will be a SIM card with ability to send SMS Text message. You can still track your device but only by SMS Text message. You simply Send an SMS Text message to the SIM card inserted in device or call the device from your mobile phone and it will auto reply by sending you back an SMS text message to your mobile phone with the GPS coordinate link of the exact location of the device. If you click  on the link, it will show you on google map the location of the device when the text message was sent. This option does not require subscription payment.

Both options above will still require you to have a working GSM SIM card with SMS TEXT message ability and some DATA if you require our iCustodian® iTrack Server service.

Q: How easy is it to setup the iCustodian® iTrack2800GPS GPS Tracker?

A: iCustodian® iTrack2800GPS GPS Tracker is very easy to setup and install. We will setup the unit for you before we send it over to you. All you will require do is to insert a SIM card in the unit and it is ready to go. In some circumstances, you may need to setup the APN settings. We will send you step by step guide on how to do this. It is a simple step of sending an SMS Text message to the SIM card inserted in unit. We will provide clear instructions.

Installation is also very easy. You can install it either by simply connecting it direct to a live fuse or by the more complex way of using the included RELAY. The advantage of installing the relay is that it gives the device the ability to perform more complex functions like cutting off the vehicles fuel supply by simply sending an SMS Text message command to the unit. We will send you simple instructions on how to set up the unit in either way.
